The Royal Mint released Paddington at the Tower 50p coins on the 13th August 2019.
This is the first in a new 2019 2-coin Paddington series, Paddington at the Tower (of London).
The first coin featuring Paddington Bear at the Tower of London is available in Brilliant Uncirculated, Silver Proof and Gold Proof editions.
The second coin, Paddington at St.Paul’s Cathedral can be reserved when you purchase the first coin. You will only be charged upon the release of the 2nd coin.

Paddington at the Tower of London 50p
The 2019 Paddington at the Tower of London 50p has been issued by the Royal Mint to continue the celebrations of the 60th Anniversary of the British Bear.
This latest release features a design of Paddington based on the CGI-live action film and shows everyone’s favourite bear continuing his adventures at one of the capital’s most iconic landmarks – The Tower of London. Designed by David Knapton, the reverse of the coin shows an intricate engraving of Paddington holding his famous marmalade sandwich outside the Tower of London. The obverse features Jody Clark’s 5th Portrait of Her Majesty the Queen.
Paddington at St. Paul’s Cathedral 50p
The 2019 Paddington at St. Paul’s Cathedral 50p will be released soon as the 2nd coin in the 2019 Paddington Bear 50 pence coin series.
Continuing his adventures at the ornate St. Paul’s Cathedral, this coin was also designed by David Knapton with the reverse of the coin showing an intricate engraving of Paddington in his famous hat outside the London landmark. The obverse features Jody Clark’s 5th Portrait of Her Majesty the Queen.
