The Rolling Stones Coins celebrate 60 years of chart-topping hits and classic albums with a new commemorative coin dedicated to The Rolling Stones as part of the Royal Mint Music Legends collection.

Rolling Stones’ 60th year honored with UK collectible coins
The RoyalMint has released a new £5 coin featuring a silhouette image of the iconic British band performing on stage.
The coins bring together elements of the band’s instruments, stage presence, heritage, and fashion.
“The Rolling Stones” band name is shown in what they describe as their 1974 font.
The silhouette shows frontman and singer Mick Jagger, guitarists Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, and the late drummer Charlie Watts.
The band formed in 1962 hence the dates ’62-’22

Interestingly, there is no half-oz silver coin as there has been with the prior coins released in the Music Legends collection.
The 2oz silver coins sold out within hours on the day of release.
Music Legends Series Coins
The new coin is the fifth in the Music Legends series from the UK Royal Mint to celebrate legendary British artists and the third coin to feature a British band.
The previously released coins feature bands Queen and The Who along with solo artists Elton John and David Bowie.
The coins are one of the last to be released bearing the effigy of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II who died in 2022, aged 96.

“Our Music Legends series is creating a new generation of coin collectors,” said Rebecca Morgan, director of collector services at The Royal Mint. “We hope this provides a fitting tribute to the band’s 60 years of rock and roll music for their millions of fans across the globe … The Rolling Stones are UK rock legends, and we anticipate this coin being incredibly sought-after by coin collectors and music lovers alike.
“The coin is also one of the last to be released bearing the effigy of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, marking a significant moment in history,” Morgan added in the statement.
