The second coin in the collection that celebrates Her Majesty The Queen’s 70 years of service.
The Queen’s Reign Collection
Beginning in May 2022 with a coin exploring Her Majesty’s role as the United Kingdom’s ‘fountain of honour’ with the Honours and Investitures coins series and now celebrate The Queen’s contribution to society over her 70-year reign, with the second coin in the collection highlighting her lifetime of charitable work during her Platinum Jubilee year.
The Designer
The Irish artist and illustrator P. J. Lynch has created a reverse design that focuses on Maundy coins, which represent service, and features The Queen’s signature, which is a UK coinage first and detail that unites the coins in the collection.
- Pay tribute to Her Majesty The Queen with a lasting memento of the Platinum Jubilee
- The first UK coin collection to feature The Queen’s signature in a detail that you’ll find on all three reverse designs
- Features an original reverse design by the artist and illustrator P. J. Lynch that shows the traditional Maundy coins
- The inscription on the coin’s reverse reads ‘HER CHARITY AND HER PATRONAGE’
- Struck to a finer finish than circulating coins
- The coin’s packaging explores Her Majesty’s lifetime dedication to charitable work
The £5 silver and gold proof coins have an edge inscription ‘DEVOTED TO YOUR SERVICE’ which is inspired by a speech delivered by Her Majesty for her 21st birthday.

On her twenty-first birthday, 21 April 1947, Princess Elizabeth was with her parents and younger sister on a tour of South Africa.
In a speech broadcast on the radio from Cape Town, the Princess dedicated her life to the service of the Commonwealth.
