A New Chapter for Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin
The brave little boy Christopher Robin joins the adventure on the second coin in the Winnie the Pooh and Friends Collection. Loveable characters from the charming storybooks have been brought to life on a brand-new collection of 50p coins.
This nostalgic treat for fans of the ‘silly old bear’ and his friends is inspired by the classic stories of A. A. Milne and features the original illustrations of E. H. Shepard.
This is the first time the world of Winnie the Pooh has been celebrated on UK coins struck by The Royal Mint.
Based on the “Winnie the Pooh” works by A. A. Milne and E. H. Shepard.
Who is the real Christopher Robin?
The coins have been released a century after the birth of the original Christopher Robin, the only child and son of Winnie the Pooh author A. A. Milne, who inspired his stories. Christopher Robin Milne was born on August 21 1920 and died in 1996.
